I don't know how Roy made it through this chapter. I would have been a quivering mess of emotions, shaking in a corner, with all that he went through in this chapter. I don't know how his heart can take all of this, wanting Ed so much and yet having to continue to act as if this isn't what it is to him. He has constantly denied what he needs solely for Ed's benefit, and I so hope that Ed sees that sometime and understands it.
Although, there are hints there especially the time they were together after Roy spilled the beans about Maes and him. The tenderness and caring that Ed showed Roy made my heart clench, and I so hope that Roy will be able to see that look in Ed's eyes again, unshielded. Then there was the frequency that Ed wanted to be with Roy and how there were times that they just talked. The way Ed responded to Roy after his nightmare shows how much Ed understands Roy.
I will hold on to those hints to tide me over until the next update.
I don't want to think of what Ed and Al are walking into when they reach their destination. Another alchemist who doesn't use arrays and has killed like he has...no wonder Roy is so worried to send him on this mission.
I will anxiously await the next part of this wonderful story.
