But I'm so glad you've enjoyed this story, and to be honest, even though it's been a while since it's been updated (over a year, jeez!), rest assured that it hasn't been forgotten. I do plan on completing it, and actually have it mapped out to the conclusion, I've just been utterly swamped by life and this story is so hard to dabble in. It either consumes my soul, or it won't let me in at all, and it's hard to find the proper mindset while I'm dealing with classes and work and child... And pride won't allow me to post up a chapter that isn't right. That's what started this whole long delay; chapter 14 was vetoed (and rightly so) by my beta, but it's been an enormous challenge to fix it.
Still, I'm delighted that the story has grabbed you, and really overwhelmed by the comparison to rainjoyous, who is so very talented and one of my absolute favorite writers. I just hope that this story, as it plods along to its conclusions, continues to live up to such high standards. And I promise that the conclusion will eventually be posted. I just hope everyone will be patient... and hopefully still remember this fic when I'm finally able to get more chapters up!
