^_^ He said it! Roy actually said "I love you"! squeee! I was afraid that he wouldn't but he did. <3 Ed's response is as expected tho. :) You know, when I first read this, specifically the part about Ed pulling himself away from everyone, I was of the opinion that he was doing it because he feared that the price he'd have to pay to get Al back would be him losing himself and he didn't want those around him hurt by the loss but now I see that he's doing it so HE'S not the one being hurt. Ed is altruistic but only to a point I see. *wibbles* poor little soul. so much need, so much pain, and so afraid to accept even the tiniest bit of comfort (love?) for it. ;_;
I think Roy needs to do what Ed said - know the number of people he killed and look his demons in the eye. As horrible as it is, if he doesn't face down his demons now they will haunt him forever. :(
You would never know you'd been away from this story for as long as you have *glares* with the way you picked right up where you left off and never broke stride. :) Roy's angst was especially good! "I already lost you once. Don't tell me what risks not to take. I'm not going to lose you again without saying these things. I love you." *dreamy sigh* I'm so looking forward to more of this fic!!
