Picture post!

So today- which was to have been a big writing day for me- I got sucked into yet another illustration. And this one, I really kinda like. A lot of work went into it- research, among other things. I swear, to be a fanartist for FMA, one almost needs to be a mechanical engineer, in order to draw Ed's automail correctly. I don't know how Arakawa does it, but she must be a frickin' genius.

Anyhoo, I hunted down a bunch of other artwork (mostly Arakawa's, but some fanart) as source material, then hunted down a whole 'nother batch for Roy's uniform, and this is what I came up with.

And for the record, I don't know what's gotten into Ed. But I'm guessing that kissing will soon follow.

My shading is still mostly awful. I'll need to work on that.
